About
There has never been a more exciting or more important time to become involved in health and health-related industries or
to apply knowledge about human movement and physical activity as represented in exercise, dance, play, sport, and work in the
kinesiology field.
While professors in the Department of Kinesiology and Community Health generally pursue research aimed at improving the
quality of life for all populations, their specific research interests are diverse. They are widely published in leading
professional journals, active in organizations related to their research interests, and deeply involved in outreach activities
that benefit individuals and communities.
Whether it is helping students to secure valuable practical experience outside the classroom or giving them the opportunity
to develop and sharpen research skills, faculty and advisors in Kinesiology and Community Health go the extra mile to enable
students to pursue their own interests, educational goals, and career aspirations.
